THE FLU SHOT SCARE

I'm becoming more and more frustrated with the lack of truth and reality (2 different values) in marketing scams. This filters to two root frustrations: 1. profit-controlled marketing (i.e. capitalism), and 2. the general public reacts to fluffy, shiny objects (or ads), despite their truths.

We've been crackin jokes at all of the bootsy-looking flu shot ads lately, so I decided to look for some answers. I feel like when that shit is posted on a paper poster, hanging crooked in the window of Walgreens it just might be a scam. Or, when the security guard at Walgreens tries to sell it to me on the way out the door - "have you folks gotten your shot yet?" as he hands us a pamphlet. Hm. Anyway, the flu shot is definitely more a big pharma PR effort than an actual national effort to save people's lives. Some truths:
  • Flu shot posters pop up at Walgreens and other pharmacies mostly because Big Pharma needs to sell them, not because of scientific evidence that a flu epidemic is coming. Watch this short video about the scam of the Cycle of Vaccines.
  • The CDC's reported number of deaths by flu is usually super inflated. When they reported 36,000 deaths by flu in 2002 and 2001, if you read the report you actually find out the number is more like 1000.
Read this article called the The Flu Scare Game.
And, if you haven't heard about it yet, the government already pushed a Swine Flu scare back in 1976. The flu shots that were given out, after they were approved by Congress, actually killed 25 people and paralyzed others. Only 1 person actually died of Swine Flu.

A Swine Flu shot ad from 1976:

Be conscious. Remember you have choices other than what a corporation or even the government tells you is truth.
