Hopefully we’ll find out soon enough, but it would only make sense since there are billions of known galaxies that have yet to be explored and who knows how many more to be discovered. It sure would take everybody’s mind off of the financial crisis if they announced that they found Alien Life. Another reason why we hope that President Obama won’t be cutting NASA’s budget too much! Obey 2009 Spring/Summer Collection
Obey give us a preview into some new looks for Spring/Summer 2009. The Shepard Fairey-headed label continue their excellent range of cut-and-sew garments with a dose of streetwear and designer fashion-inspired pieces. The collection boasts everything from their standard premium t-shirt designs to cuffed poplin shorts and everything in between. Spring/Summer 2009 also presents a collaboration effort alongside photojournalist Martha Cooper featuring various 1970’s New York images capturing the youth culture. The lineup is now available in-store and Obey’s webstore.

The last work we saw from Above was his piece featuring a guy jacking an ATM machine and giving the loot away, a grimier Robin Hood to say the least. Continuing his generous efforts, we see a new piece from Above entitled Playground Love. The stencil artwork is executed masterfully with a lovey-dovey message wishing everyone a Happy Valentines Day. Check it out!

BBC | Ice Cream 2009 Spring/Summer Collection February Releases
BBC | Ice Cream drop some new hits for February as the brand features both a mix of graphically driven t-shirts and sweaters alongside more subtle jacket and denim. The graphic stuff incorporates some familiar imagery while hoodies take on an interesting cut. Rounding out the releases are two denim offerings including a jacket and jeans. Available Saturday, February 14th at BBC | Ice Cream Hong Kong.
Vans Mountain Edition High Satin Pack
Having already previewed the silver joints earlier in the month, Vans official drops two additional colorways in their Satin Pack. Much more vibrant than their last rendition, these are featured in scuba blue and buttercup tonal colorways without any contrasting other than the middle eyelet and midsoles. All three colorways are now available at Vans dealers including Essence.

DOES FAME ACCOMPANY GENIUS?
Paulo Coelho is a famous genius. here's an interesting question he posted on his blog this morning.. Thursday's food for thought...
Do you think fame always accompanies a genius or can a genius live without it?
Even though “fame” is an easy concept to define in today’s world, I think it’s much more difficult to define a genius. Yet, having said that, for me a genius is a person that allies the intelligence of the heart with good sense. Examples of geniuses in my view are Mandela and Gandhi. They are known men but I don’t know if the laurels of this world always go to the people of most merit. Fortunately there are great men that we hear of, but there are many others that work in silence – and these are in my view, the true warriors of light.
