Free FOCUS the NATION Climate Teach-In
SF State
Jack Adams Hall (in the Cesar Chavez Student Center)
THURS, February 5th
10-6pm
Have questions about global warming - one of the biggest political debates in the world? Get your knowledge on at SF State's free Focus the Nation Teach-In.
I'm always speaking at random climate/environmental justice/community events around the Bay, but the Focus the Nation teach-in at SF State is always a dope space to learn about what's going on with climate change locally, in Cali, and nationally.
It's FREE and open to the public.
The hands-on workshops and “how-to” skill sessions will include letter writing, green business and much more. Climate activist groups will empower students to get involved and make change in their community. A network of bay area environmental organizations will be tabling throughout the day’s event and students will be able to discuss with them their climate change involvement. You will have the opportunity to poetically express yourself at open-mic and browse among art relating to climate change and the environmental problems we face.
They don't have a new site this year, but for more info on what the event's about, you can check out last year's website.
Let me know if you're interested. Or hit up my girl Ami at : gomolecular@gmail.com.
